Our History

In 1964, a group of likeminded individuals made it their aim to fundraise by every means possible in order to achieve a united vision.

Being formed in 1964, the centre was built by public subscriptions and opened as a voluntary body in 1968 and continues in the same format to this day.

Since the Centre was built and opened, a wonderful history has grown. It became the meeting place for the village carnival as well as visits from Slade, weekly dances, Easter parades, Christmas fairs and group open days.

We celebrated our 50 years in 2018 with a variety of special events for the local community to share in and celebrate with us. We look forward to another great 50 years!

The Aldridge Central Community Association (ACCA) is operated by trustees and volunteers and has Registered Charitable status. Its policy is non-political and non-sectarian.
