Although we do now not have any guidelines to adhere to, we at the Centre would wish you to feel comfortable when attending.
Whether you feel happier wearing a mask, or keeping your distance from other groups, please feel free to do the best for you. Sanitizing stations are still working and we would ask Group Leaders to ventilate their rooms if appropriate, keeping your room door closed.
Ideally situated on Anchor Meadow, our extensive centre offers to both small one to one meetings, large annual fairs and everything inbetween. As can be seen below, our cross section of rooms and various combinations make us perfect for any event you are looking to host.
Our centre provides a number of facilities to make it accessible for everyone
Our John Sterling Hall with it's folding doors connecting the Ash Garbett Lounge and centre bar is perfect for large events as well as dances, parties and social gatherings.
Combined these rooms can accomodate 150 guests for your special event.
Sound and lighting are available for stage productions.
The Committee Room, as you can see from the photos, is ideal for holding meetings or lectures as well as small hobby classes. This room also contains a sink with a hot and cold water supply.
This room has a capacity of 20. 20 chairs and 8 rectangular tables changed to suit your needs.
The Lounge area is an open airy well lit space with immediate access to all rooms in the centre as well as to our recently updated kiosk facility.
The kiosk facilility is made available for making beverages and serving pre-prepared food.
As the Lounge is in the heart of the building it has the ability to offer various combinations with other spaces if wished, for example the Lecture Room or V.C Room.
This room, independently, will seat 24 people.
Our lecture room is perfect for a small group meeting, social or crafting group.
Connecting the Lecture room to the Lounge and also to the VC room creates a great space for small fairs or social events, especially when using the Kiosk.
The lecture room can comfortably hold 40 people as a stand alone room.
Our multi purpose kitchen offers a range, fridge, microwave, electric oven, dishwasher, stainless steel work surfaces and sink area. Perfect to cater for a whole range of events, this is the perfect accompaniment to the Refreshments room.
An urn and kettle are included with the room. Crockery, cutlery, flutes and seat covers are also available to hire if required.
The Refreshment Room is a large space which is also able to be joined with the Lecture Room and also combined with the Kitchen if you wish to cater for your event. This room also leads on to our patio at the rear of the centre.
The Refreshment Room can comfortably fit up to 70 people with tables and chairs in a number of different formats.
